| New appointment adds further strength to Litigation Team | |
Gill Akaster have recruited a new solicitor to their Commercial Litigation Department. Peter Baulf, a former litigation partner with a large Portsmouth practice has recently returned to Gill Akaster, the firm at which he qualified as a Solicitor some 20 years ago. Peter now concentrates on civil litigation matters on behalf of individuals, partnerships and companies, with a particular interest in mediation as an alternative to litigation. Peter is a C.E.D.R (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) accredited mediator, focusing upon contractual/construction disputes along with a growing emphasis toward the provision of insolvency advice. Peter has wide experience of representing clients before all types of Courts and Tribunals and is regularly sought after by clients for his robust and practical approach on their behalf. Given his Portsmouth/Plymouth background his practice has always included the provision of advice to all branches of the Armed Forces. Peter is a former pupil of Devonport High School for Boys. Upon his appointment Peter commented: ‘I am delighted to return to Gill Akaster and the West Country, having previously lived and worked in Portsmouth. I was very impressed by the Department structure and the quality of service being provided to all clients. I look forward to contributing to a Department with a growing reputation’. Stephen Ramsden, Managing Partner and Head of Litigation commented: ‘Peter’s experience and particular interests are a welcome addition to an already strong Department, his appointment is part of Gill Akaster’s focused desire to enhance and improve the level of service to both existing and new clients.’ |
