GillAkaster is fast tracking plans to house its modern Plymouth based legal practice under one roof in the heart of the city at its Lockyer Street headquarters. 

The solicitors successfully relocated main operations in Plymouth city centre over 10 years ago from the firm's Scott Lodge office on Outland Road in response to an ever increasing workload and an increase in employees. 

Now GillAkaster senior management want staff at the satellite office to team up with them at the firm's long-established flagship headquarters in Lockyer Street. 

GillAkaster managing partner Stephen Ramsden said: "This is an exciting time for us and the partners are looking forward to seeing all our staff under one roof in Plymouth city centre. 

"The Lockyer Street premises much better suit a modern, high tech legal practice and it has long been our intention to centralise operations especially as we pride ourselves with being in touch with the people who - like us - live and work in the city. 

"Purely from a client-practice relationship it is great to have a PL1 address and ease of access to all the city's main transport and communication routes."

Eco-friendly Ramsden, who chooses to cycle to work everyday, admits:

"Scott Lodge has more than served its purpose for the practice but it is no longer suitable as the firm has grown to such an extent over recent years. 

"In this day and age, looking after our clients and people is our priority."
