Specialising solely in Employment, Jackie joined Gill Akaster in 2004 completing her training as a Solicitor with the firm.

As well as handling Tribunal cases for both employers and employees, Jackie works closely with the Commercial Department providing advice in a range of situations from new business setups to TUPE Transfers. Jackie is an integral member of the firm’s Small Business Service which provides a full Commercial and Employment package to setting up new business ventures.
 
Jackie provides ongoing daily support to existing clients giving a range of business advice and services from preparing Contracts of Employment and drafting Staff Handbooks to advising on challenging internal HR matters such as disciplinary, capability and reorganisations.
 
Jackie also heads up Gill Akaster’s Best Practice Service providing unlimited employment advice for a fixed monthly fee.
