After reading Law at Liverpool University and then completing the LPC at the College of Law, Chester, Matthew qualified as a Solicitor in 2001. He joined Gill Akaster in 2006 and is Head of the Personal Injury team.

He specialises in handling high value and catastrophic injury claims and has extensive niche experience in motorcycle and fatal accident claims. He has handled many cases where client’s have been medically retired from the forces or police service.
 
Matthew represents clients injured in all types of accidents including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, and public and occupiers’ liability cases. He also deals with Criminal Injuries claims.

Matthew is on the Solicitors Regulation Authority Personal Injury Panel and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
