The Mustard Tree, at Derriford Hospital, is a MacMillan support centre for cancer patients.  One member of staff here at GA, Debbie Hodgins, volunteers at the centre working with the charity Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) which is the beauty industry’s charity to help women combat the visible side-effects of cancer treatment.  Their aim is to greatly increase women’s self confidence and self esteem at a very difficult time in their lives.

Whilst each lady attending receives a full bag of cosmetics and skin care to use and take away with them, there are always spare products floating around and boxes of cosmetics sent in by beauty companies which are not always used.   Rather than see these go to waste, Debbie was able to offer them to staff at GA for a donation.  The total raised was £126 which was sent to The Mustard Tree and the remaining cosmetics were then sent on to GA’s chosen charity, Woodside Animal Sanctuary, for them to sell at their next fete. Both charities were extremely grateful.
