After studying at Nottingham University, Stephen qualified in 1986 and joined Gill Akaster in 2000.

Stephen specialises in commercial litigation including a particular interest and expertise in construction disputes, including court, arbitration and adjudication disputes.  In addition Steve has successfully represented clients in numerous other areas including company and partnership disputes, professional negligence and a variety of contract claims.

Steve firmly believes in seeing a dispute in its commercial context and will be pleased to explore alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation where this is the right way to achieve the most advantageous result for you.
